All Female Crew Flies 120 Girls To The NASA Headquarters To Inspire Women

This is so awesome! Delta has a program called "WING" flight and it's inspiring Women in the next generation to promote STEM careers.

So this week, one of the Delta flights operated by women carried 120 young females from the ages of 12 to 18 to Salt Lake City to NASA headquarters located in Houston.

The girls there then toured NASA's Mission Control Center, the Johnson Space Center and spoke with other women in the field.

According to a 12th grade student named Katelyn, she stated "It didn't seem realistic to go after a career in aviation. But today I realized, 'Hey, I can do this too."

Did you know out of the 609,306 pilots in the U.S., only about 7% are women, according to 2017 data from the Federal Aviation Administration's Aeronautical Center.

So it's true, you can do anything you put your mind to!
