The snack that smiles back is about to have a new taste. We all know the cracker to have different cheese flavors. Now, the company is trying something new.
They are testing out vegetable flavors! Campbell's announced they will be testing out sweet carrot and cheesy tomato flavored crackers starting January 1st, 2020 at select stores.
According to Kaylee Gill who is a research chef for Campbell's snack division, she saw an interest in vegetables, She stated "Since 2016, vegetables are really emerging within the fine dining space.Not just in the protein section but within our ready-to-eat meals and beverages, and now in snacks as well.”
Parents are trying to look for ways to add vegetables to their children's diets. The carrot crackers are made up of carrot powder which is made from carrot juice concentrate and carrot puree. The tomato ones are made up of tomato paste powder.
