When Alex Trebek's time comes to an end of Jeopardy! he doesn't want to be involved in picking the next host.
According to Trebek, he feels very passionate about this, reiterating his point every time someone asks him. Producers say that he's felt this way for a very long time now.
Trebek stated "It's not a decision that would be up to me. And I would not make myself available to presenting an opinion." He also joked that it's probably going to be a woman and she'll have to be bright and have a good sense of humor. His choice was Betty White.
