Do Face Masks Really Keep You From Getting Sick?

Many people are worrying about the coronavirus spreading. Many have descended on pharmacies and hardware stores, buying face masks to protect themselves.

Now the question is, do these face masks really work? The Mayo Clinic states "It can't hurt and it might help." The coronavirus isn't the influenza. It just happens to cause similar symptoms."

Now, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say a mask isn't necessary to stop the spread for anyone who isn't infected or is taking care of someone already sick.

It's recommended to wash your hands frequently with soap and water. Also you should avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

Are you nervous about this?
