Meat-free and vegan burgers are already well-established but according to a new food tech start up, they are stating that vegan steak won't just fool you to think that you are eating beef but they will offer a more sustainable food supply.
Novameat says that the method of 3D printing plant-based proteins can produce a vegan meal with texture and appearance of a real beef steak.
They stated "It is done with a printer so that we can get at the same time the appearance and the texture of a traditional steak. We are ordering the fibers as if they were muscular fibers, so we are micro-extruding these filaments so that the plant-based steak has at the same time the appearance and the texture of an actual beefsteak.”
What do you think about this? Would you ever give it a try?
