Companies Are Hiring More Delivery Workers Due To Coronavirus

Before the coronavirus spread throughout the US, on-demand companies were trying to figure out how to provide more benefits for their workers.

People now are adjusting to staying indoors to reduce the spread of coronavirus, demand for delivery and opportunities for work. This week, Amazon just announced that they will hire another 100,000 workers in the US and raise pay for workers in the US, Canada and Europe.

Food delivery services such as Postmates, Grubhub, Uber Eats and DoorDash are in higher demand for their services.

DoorDash just stated that they will be creating a priority access program to help workers at their restaurant partners sign up as delivery workers so they are able to meet their financial needs until their jobs return back to normal.
