The largest independent record store in the United States now needs help to survive the COVID-19 pandemic.
Amoeba Music is really struggling during this time, they now have turned to their fans and most loyal customers to help them out in anyway they possible can.
The two founders of the business Dave Prinz and Marc Weinstein launched a fundraiser and their goal was nearly half a million dollars. This money will help pay their bills along with help take care of their staff.
If you haven't been to any of these stores, there are three located in California and all were shut down in March. As of right now, there is no date of when they will open their doors again.
Prinz and Weinstein stated "We're exploring every possible means of support, including federal and local grants and loans. But these funds are not guaranteed to come in, and they won't meet the needs of our short-term future."
