13,000 Pounds Of Trash Were Found On A Beach From Tourists

As we all know different states are at different stages of openings.

Florida beachgoers seemed to be a little too comfortable this past weekend returning and here's why. At Cocoa Beach in Brevard County, tourists left behind more than 13,000 pounds of trash on the beach according to officials.

This specific beach has only been opened less than a month and officials calculated that the amount of trash is equivalent to Fourth of July and Memorial Day weekend. The beach responded by stepping up their patrols and increasing fines to $250.00 for anyone who is caught littering.

Volunteers reminded tourists that trash can harm animals.

Have you been to the beach recently? What are your thoughts on this?
