A 94-year-old woman wasn't going to let distance stop her from voting! Mildred Madison didn't receive her absentee ballot, so she made her son drive her more than 600 miles round trip for early voting in person!
Due to her age and health concerns, she was staying with her son in Zion, Illinois but she still lives in Detroit. Madison requested an absentee ballot, but got nervous since she didn't get it yet. So they jumped in the car to cast her ballot in Detroit.
For the past 72 years, she voted in every election!
