New emojis have arrived and they are very fitting for 2021!
The new emojis are part of the latest iOS 14.5 beta and they include a heart on fire, exhaling face plus a vaccine-friendly syringe emoji and support for couples with a mix of skin tones.
Apple chose to wait 13 months to add the latest emojis. All of the new emojis were approved by the Unicode Consortium in September, but it's up to the individual companies to design how emojis look on their devices and services which is why a smiley face on your iPhone could look different than it does on Twitter.
