Mark your calendars for February 26th!

The Snow Moon will occur on the evening of February 26th through the morning of February 27th. The moon will rise around sunset and reach the highest point in the sky around midnight. If you are wondering where the moon gets its name from, it's because both Native and colonial Americans gave nicknames to each of the year's full moons based on weather, harvest or animal behavior.

February's full moon is called the Snow Moon since this month tends to be snowy. The next full moon will take place on March 28th.
