YouTube is now trying to spread some positivity!
The video-sharing platform stated that some users find the number of dislikes associated with their content now hidden. This is in response to creator feedback around well-being and targeted dislike campaigns.
There still will be a dislike button for viewers and the number of clicks is still being tallied on the backend, but it will not be displayed to the public. YouTube hopes that change will engender more goodwill as cyberbullies will no longer pay attention to the dislikes on their target's content.
Do you think this is a good idea?
