The Supreme Court ruled against the NCAA in a landmark decision on compensation for student athletes.
In a 9-0 decision, the court ruled that the NCAA cannot restrict payments to athletes for things like musical instruments or compensation for internships. Neil Gorsuch wrote that actions would amount to price fixing in a market where the NCAA has monopoly control. Brett Kavanaugh questioned the NCAA's business model of using unpaid student athletes to generate billions of dollars in revenue.
