Safety commission warns consumers to stop using certain infant loungers

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a warning about a potentially dangerous infant lounger.

The agency says two deaths have been linked to Leachco's 'Podster' lounger - one in 2015 and one in 2018.

In both cases, the infant's nose and mouth became 'obstructed by the Podster or another object' due to a change in position.

The warning applies to the Podster, Podster Plush, Podster Playtime, and Bummzie.

Leachco responded to the warning, saying it "stands by the Podster's quality, safety and value" and that the product includes a warning "not to place it in a bed or crib or use it for unsupervised sleep".
