27 States Will Raise Minimum Wage In 2023

Millions of Americans will be getting a raise in the new year, thanks to minimum wage hikes in many states.

A total of 27 states are set to increase the minimum wage next year, with most taking effect on Jan. 1st.

11 states will raise the minimum wage by more than $1: Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, and Virginia.

The highest minimum wage among U.S. states will be in California, at $15.50.

But Washington D.C. has an even higher minimum wage at $16.10 - and it's scheduled to go up again in July.
