A woman has gone viral with her safety tips for traveling alone in an Uber or Lyft.
Start by sitting directly behind the driver.
Then pretend something is caught in the door and OPEN it. That's to make sure the child locks aren't activated.
You should ALWAYS be on the phone, whether it's real or pretend. During that "conversation" say that someone is waiting for you at your stop.
Finally, have "safety tools" like a knife within reach, just in case.
