REDONDO BEACH (CNS) - Redondo Beach police Thursday said an arrest has been made in connection with a vehicle striking two teenagers on an electric bicycle and fleeing the scene.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies located the vehicle and motorist Tuesday in the city of Rolling Hills Estates, said Redondo Beach police Capt. Jon Naylor.

``The person of interest has been released from custody at this time and the investigation is ongoing," Naylor said. ``No other persons of interest are being sought, however, the investigation continues."

The crash occurred on Sept. 17 about 10:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of Rindge Lane, Naylor said.

``Preliminary information was reported to the police department by one of the juvenile parties involved, after all parties left scene of the collision," he said. ``Upon completion of the investigation, it will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for consideration of felony hit-and-run charges."

Anyone with any information regarding the crash was urged to call the Redondo Beach Police Department Traffic Hotline at 310-937-6605.
