SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 50-year-old man died at a hospital while in custody of the Orange County Sheriff's Department, authorities said Wednesday.
The inmate, whose name was not immediately released, died Tuesday. He was arrested by Huntington Beach police Thursday on unspecified arrest warrants.
The inmate was taken from the Orange County Jail to a hospital on Tuesday. A cause of death is pending toxicology tests and an independent autopsy, sheriff's officials said.
