ANAHEIM (CNS) - A pedestrian was struck by two vehicles and killed Monday on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Anaheim.

The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 2:03 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana Freeway just north of Lincoln Avenue.

A witness reported that a white truck hit the pedestrian in middle lanes, the CHP said.

The CHP later learned a black Honda Civic also hit the pedestrian.

A SigAlert was issued at 2:18 a.m. shutting down the southbound Santa Ana Freeway and the Euclid Street on-ramp. The far right lane was reopened at 3:11 a.m. and other traffic was diverted off at Euclid Street.

All lanes were reopened about 7 a.m., but traffic was backed up to Valley View Avenue, according to the CHP.

A description of the pedestrian was not immediately available.
