Authorities are seeking the public's help to find a driver who opened fire on another vehicle while driving on the freeway in Glendora. The incident occurred at 10:25 p.m. on Wednesday on the 57 Freeway, south of the 210 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Officers responding to the scene discovered a bullet hole in the right rear passenger door of the victim's car and a spent round inside the passenger-side compartment.
This shooting comes on the heels of another freeway incident earlier in July, where a 12-year-old passenger was shot in the leg on the 210 Freeway near San Bernardino. In that case, the CHP used license plate readers to track down the suspect's vehicle, leading to the arrest of a 23-year-old man in Victorville. He was charged with attempted murder, shooting at an occupied vehicle, and brandishing a firearm.
The CHP is urging anyone with information about the Glendora shooting to come forward. They emphasize the importance of community assistance in solving such cases and ensuring public safety on the roadways.
