An 82 year old man from Pune, India has been growing his fingernails on his left hand since he was 14 years old. The Guiness Book Of World Records just announced that Shridhar Chillal has cut them off!
Apparently, he started growing them because he was told off by a teacher for accidentally breaking his long nail. Still in disbelief? The recently cut-off nails will go on display at Ripley's Believe It Or Not in New York. There you can check out the 31 feet of 66 year old finger nails.
The end of an era. After 66 years of growth, watch record-breaker Shridhar Chillal from India cut off his enormous fingernails - which will now go on display at @Ripleys in New York https://t.co/uoEv6gHF10— GuinnessWorldRecords (@GWR) July 11, 2018
Nooooooo – Shridhar, what were you thinking!? @GWR holder of Longest fingernails (one hand) gets them cut off!! https://t.co/v22UpYsXUa (Well, probably thinking $$$!) Right, anyone else fancy the record? pic.twitter.com/pbYXpI622U— Craig Glenday (@craigglenday) July 11, 2018
My only question...who has been cutting his nails on the other hand all this time?
