In an announcement today from Paramount Players, Nickelodeon's beloved (and Peabody Award winning) cartoon character, Dora The Explorer, is getting her very own live action film!
The film is being directed by 11-time Emmy and 4-time BAFTA nominee James Bobin who did The Muppets and Muppets Most Wanted. The show has been on Nickelodeon for 14 years...and 172 episodes later, a live action feature length is being filmed in Australia and is set to be released on August 2nd, 2019.
Principal photography began this week and here is the first look of Dora as a highschooler. Isabela Moner plays the title character.
