10 Christmas Trees In The US Worth A Road Trip

You know how much I love a good road trip. Ah, and this time of year to see the most Instagram-worthy holiday trees...sign me up!

USA Today came up with this brilliant list!

Mayor's Christmas Tree, Kansas City, Missouri

This city goes all out with a gingerbread village, holiday train and ice-skating rink. Then, when the season is over, the tree is chopped to make ornaments where the sales benefit a local charity for city residents in need.

Citadel Outlets, Commerce, California

We know, Citadel Outlets is home to the world's LARGEST LIVE CUT Christmas Tree. It's so big...."how big is it?" Well, you can see it from the 5 freeway!

White House Christmas Tree, Washington, DC

This tree is special because it gets into the White House by winning votes! Plan ahead because tickets for a tour are limited but you can get them through their congressional representative.

Christmas at the Capitol, Pierre, South Dakota

This town decorates just about every tree in the capitol each year. And they are all uniquely done. It's a Christmas Forrest in South Dakota!

Perkasie Borough, Pennsylvannia

This town's claim to fame is hosting the oldest community tree lighting ceremony!

Rockefeller Center, New York City, New York

Perhaps the most famous Christmas Tree in the country is a must see!

Toledo Zoo, Ohio

The zoo strings over 1 million lights throughout their grounds and the tree has over 35,000!

Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston, Massachussetts

Boston syncs their famous tree with six different retro holiday tunes. Its a tree AND a show!

Nugget Casino, Sparks, Nevada

This town is about more than just gambling...its about the giving spirit that attracts those in the holidays spirit at all ages!

Texas Pecan Tree, Highland Park, Texas

This tree is just outside of Dallas and the entire city has built a tradition around decorating this mammoth, 150 year old tree!
