Boston Backwards To END Epilepsy With Loren Zitomersky

His Mission

On April 14th, 2018 Loren will be running all 26.2 miles of the Boston Marathon Backwards and attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon run backwards.

Why?

His brother Brian passed away from Epilepsy at the age of seven.  He runs backwards in Brian's memory to better the lives and individuals and families affected by epilepsy and to end epilepsy. Him and his dad have been raising money and awareness for the Epilepsy Foundation for individuals and families affected by this. They have been participating in long distance bicycle rides, triathlons, and marathons.

Over the last 20 years, they have raised over $250,000 for people living with epilepsy.

He qualified for the Boston Marathon by running a previous marathon in 3 hours and 14 seconds. Loren promised himself that if he qualified for the Boston Marathon, he would attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon run backwards which currently is ( 3 hours, 43 minutes, 39 seconds).
