Rise Of The Resistance Opening Date Announced For Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Star Wars:Galaxy’s Edge has been open for about two and a half months now at the Disneyland Resort and it has received rave reviews! From myself included! It is an insanely immersive land over 14 acres to the northwest side of Disneyland Park behind Critter Country, Frontierland, and Fantasyland.

The theme is on point, the food is unique & delicious, and the goodies to buy, and take home, are pretty sweet!

Currently, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is the only attraction operating in Batuu, but Disney Parks has just announced the opening date of the second attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - Friday, 17 January, 2020. This is HUGE!!! This attraction is set to be the most advanced attraction ever created in a theme park! Here is what Disney has to say about it…

“When it opens, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will blur the lines between fantasy and reality and will put guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will be recruited to join Rey and General Organa at a secret base. Along the way, they will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. With the help of some heroes of the Resistance, they break out and must escape the Star Destroyer, protect the secret base, and stay one step ahead of Kylo Ren.”

How. Sick. Does. That. Sound?!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has yet to open at Disney Studios in Florida - Walt Disney World will get access to their own Black Spire Outpost at the end of August and their version of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open on Walt Disney’s birthday - Thursday, 5 December.
