Seven-year-old Marley Parker didn't expect this going into first grade. Upon opening her textbook, she realized it once belonged to Blake Shelton!
Marley mom Shelly shared a picture of her daughter with the textbook on Facebook writing, "Marley is EXCITED that her “new” reader belonged to Blake Shelton, but I am EMBARRASSED!!!! I’m 40 and these people are my age!!!"
Marley attends school at Latta Elementary School in Oklahoma, where the teachers in the school districts are demanding new school supplies for children. Shelly continued writing, “Thank you to every teacher/parent/staffer/etc. for fighting for my kids education! Don’t give up until education is fully funded!” She hopes the viral photo will bring attention to the real issue.
