Idris Elba has already earned the title of Order of the British Empire and now he can also add Sexiest Man Alive to that list!
When he first heard that he was receiving this title we can only imagine what he was thinking. The actor shared with people that “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really? (I) Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise — an ego boost for sure.”
At the all boys school he attended in London, he was quite the athlete who played football, basketball, cricket, hockey and rugby. It sounds like he was a jock but yet he claims he had an awkward phase. “I was very tall and skinny and my name was Idrissa Akuna Elba, okay? I got picked on a little bit. But as soon as I could grow a mustache, I was the coolest kid on the block. Grew a mustache, had some muscles, bonkers.”
Besides being the Sexiest Man Alive, he is an actor who kick boxes in Thailand and designs his own clothing line. How cool! He is also planning his wedding with his fiance Sabrina Dhowre who is a 29-year-old model.
