This holiday season Bruno Mars is giving back in more ways than one.
He gave a gift to a fan with a rare type of brain cancer and is also feeding 24,000 people for Thanksgiving.
We have an update on the touching Bruno Mars fan story!
14 years-old Jayvis Ilar had to leave a Bruno Mars concert early due to being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain cancer. Ilar is one of three children who has been diagnosed with this condition just this year in Hawaii.
Ilar's family said he was so excited to see Bruno and would always sing his song lyrics. As soon as they got to the parking lot of the concert venue, they noticed Ilar was unresponsive.
They immediately found help and also said if Bruno were to send Ilar a message, his dreams would come true.
Pop star Bruno Mars came through. After his show, he had his assistant drop off an autographed poster along with some guitar picks.
This is so touching!

As far as feeding 24,000 people, Bruno Mars is putting Thanksgiving meals on tables in his home state of Hawaii. Through the Hawaii Community Foundation, he is making a donation to the Salvation Army's Thanksgiving Program.
The 33-year-old singer got 24,000 from the name of his hit album and tour 24K Magic.
According to a press release, Mars's contribution is “single-handedly expanding (the program’s) reach across the state.”
Even though Mars might not be cooking that many meals himself, he jokes that he is handy in the kitchen and says on Twitter “U know every now and then I turn the stove on & make myself a salami sandwich. I think it’s best if u all knew that.. Alright.. take care.”
