We all have that one childhood best friend that we remember but aren't quite sure where they are now. You could even say they were the one that got away. In most cases, it's almost impossible to find each other. But now, with the help of the internet and Twitter, a pair of childhood BFF's were once again reunited.
The two met on a Hawaii dinner cruise in 2006 and became vacation besties. After a long 12 years apart, one of the girls named Brianna Cry from Mississippi, posted a photo of the two on Twitter asking for help in finding her former friend and it went viral.
Cry wrote in the post that "were basically best friends for that night so I need y’all to help me find my best friend cause I miss her and I need to see how she’s doing now."
We eventually found out the other girl's name in this BFF pair was Californian Heidi.
In less than 12 hours, the people of Twitter have yet again outdone themselves.
Heidi responded with a selfie of her holding a family photo from the Hawaiian cruise and said "Heard you were looking for me." Cry quickly tweeted back "omg my heart is so happy."
To make this story even more amazing, Heidi hadn't logged into Twitter for years. Her friends informed her of her Twitter search party and she signed back in.
Of course Twitter users were curious to see if the two rekindled. Heide said the two have been DMing and "Yes!! This morning has been wild."
It looks like these two old besties have a lifetime of catching up to do!
Now we're just waiting
