Looks like you won't be able to share your Netflix password anymore!
As you probably already know, Netflix allows you to be logged into multiple accounts at once.
A new video software provider unveiled that a new Al-powered system has been designed to crack down on sharing your accounts.
Recent research studies state that 26% of millennial give out their passwords for video streaming services to others.
Now, the new software will be able to tell which users are logged in and where to flag certain shared accounts.
Research also shows that by the year 2021, sharing credentials will account for 9.9 billion of losses in pay in TV-Revenues.
According to Synamedia, it will be able to tell where the account is being used.
So if you are at home, vacation home, office, etc. it will know!
The new system also knows if you are sharing with friends, or your children who no longer live at home.
Kind of creepy if you ask me!
Synamedia has already begun trials on this.
They believe that this will encourage users to be happy to pay an additional fee for a premium account that they will be able to share with a greater number of users.
