Is 8-Years-Old Too Young To Trick-Or-Treat Without Supervision?

Many parents have different opinions about what age you should allow your children to trick-or-treat on their own.

According to POPSUGAR, this mom is letting her 8-year-old Trick-Or-Treat without supervision this year. She said that she has been letting her roam around their neighborhood alone lately. She says she trusts where she lives because she knows the families.

Lucky for them, there are a lot of same aged kids and parents that she knows and trusts. They have family rule for her daughter which are don't leave the house without telling a parent, never go into a neighbor's home without asking first, stay off the busy streets and check in regularly.

This mom also says that she also counts on the other moms in the neighborhood to keep in touch if her daughter isn't where she thinks she is. It The moms in the neighborhood have a system going.

After having her freedom, her daughter asked if she can go trick-or-treating without a chaperone this year. So she is letting her.

Since her daughter will be trick-or-treating alone this year, there will be guidelines to follow. The rules are that she must stay with a friend at all times and once it starts getting dark, she has to come back home. If anything weird happens she must come home immediately or go to the closest friends house until it's safe to come home.
