AAA says September 25th is when people begin considering reservations. Their best is advice to you is that you start researching now and for the best prices you should book your trip no later than October 27th.
Those traveling for Thanksgiving, the best day to fly is November 25th and the cheapest day to travel is on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th. For Christmas, you should fly out Christmas Eve and the most expensive day to take a flight is December 26th.
