We're not in Kansas anymore Dorthy! If you were in Northern California this past weekend, you may have seen this!
For Northern California, this is very rare! According to the National Weather Service, they confirmed there was a twister. It occurred north of Davis, California in Yolo County around 6:30 pm on Saturday.
A witness recorded the video as they watched the twister destroy an apple orchard. There has been no other damage reported, so luckily it wasn't too devastating for anyone.
On average, California only sees about 10 tornadoes a year, so this was a very rare occurrence. For the most part, they are more common in the winter and spring.
