Once a girl-scout, always a girl-scout!
98-year-old Ronnie Backenstoe has been a Girl Scout and selling cookies since 1932. Currently, she is still selling cookies at the Phoebe Berks Retirement home! After 45 years of being an active girl scout, she retired in 1976.
She still sells cookies because she believes in keeping with the Girl Scouts core mission of empowering the future generation.
Backenstoe stated "I think that was just part of living and that's what really Girl Scouting is. It teaches you how to live."
How sweet is this?!
