Everyone knew the song and would have it on repeat... especially if you had kids at the time it was released! The song first aired on episode 78 of sesame Street on Februrary 25th, 1970. It spent nine weeks on the Billboard 100 and peaked at #16!
How crazy is that?! The Rubber Ducky was even a popular Christmas present that year due to the popularity of the song.
