The future is here! Walmart is currently testing out a new drone delivery system.
The company is partnering with drone delivery unicorn Zipline to make online demand deliveries of select health and wellness products in the United States starting early next year. They said that it's their intention to later expand the partnership into offering drone delivery of general merchandise.
Throughout the pandemic Walmart accelerated the expansion of their pick-up and delivery services. According to Tom Ward, Walmart's senior vice president, he stated "We’ll never stop looking into and learning about what the next best technology is and how we can use it to better serve our customers now and into the future."
