Skateland in Northridge just announced that they will be closing permanently and will now become a homeless shelter. The roller-skating rink is working with the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission.
The roller-skating rink will help provide housing for the homeless, even though they are closing their doors after 60 years in business. The owners first closed due to the pandemic and now they've decided to turn the rink into temporary housing for the San Fernando Valley's homeless population.
