A new mom is so grateful to be home and celebrating life with her new baby girl after they both made it through being hospitalized for months.
Back in September, Monique Jones was 7-months pregnant when she fell ill with COVID-19. She found herself bed-ridden and needing to be placed on a ventilator. She woke up a month later not knowing she had to have an emergency c-section and delivered her baby girl at only 29 weeks!
Baby girl Zamirah was born very early and weighed only 2 pounds, 5 ounces. She was teeny tiny and needed to be in the NICU. Meanwhile, her mommy Monique was improving and taken off the vent & moved out of ICU into a rehab facility. A special nurse who became invested in both mommy and baby made sure she and baby would survive this. She threw mommy a baby shower, raised over $2,000 for them and kept the good vibes flowing.
Mommy Monique wanted to do something special in her honor and make her Zamirah’s god mother!
