The California DMV will officially resume the behind-the-wheel testing for student drivers starting on February 1st.
They will start offering the behind-the-wheel test again after canceling appointments scheduled for the last several weeks due to a rise in COVID-19 cases, which led to stay-at-home orders in many parts of California again. According to officials, they say the department will automatically reschedule any driving appointments that were postponed between December 14th and February 1st.
If you are waiting for a re-scheduled appointment, you will be notified through a text message. If you are taking the behind-the-wheel test, you are required to wear a face mask.
