Southwest Airlines is currently the last of the nation's six largest airlines to change their animal policy. The ban will begin on March 1st.
The airline said that it will let passengers being trained service dogs in the cabin, but no longer accept support animals starting on March 1st. Any customers who want to bring a dog or cat on board will have to end up paying a fee and they must be kept in a carrier that. fits under an airplane seat.
This decision comes after airlines claiming that some passengers abused the old rules to avoid pet fees.
