Travelers who now violate the federal mask requirement could be subject to a $250 fine and up depending on repeat offenses according to TSA. Repeat offenders could be fined up to $1,500 or more. All travelers on an airplane and public transportation are required to wear face masks in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Airlines have already banned 2,000 passengers who have refused to wear face coverings.
