Since it's been a full year since the first known COVID-19 death in the United States, people all over America remembered friends, neighbors and family members that were lost to this disease.
Santa Monica joined more than 100 cities to proclaim the first Monday of March as COVID Memorial Day. To remember the individuals we lost, people took over the city's River Rose Memorial which now features handmade felt roses from all over SoCal dedicated to those who died from the virus.
