Facebook just announced that they are building an Instagram for kids under the age of 13.
According to the Vice President of product for Instagram, the social media platform will be building an Instagram for kids under the age of 13. Instagram's current policy doesn't allow kids who are under the age of 13 to access the platform and it requires all new users to provide their age when they are creating an account.
In the new announcement, they stated "We will be building a new youth pillar within the Community Product Group to focus on two things, accelerating our integrity and privacy work to ensure the safest possible experience for teens and building a version of Instagram that allows people under the age of 13 to safely use Instagram for the first time."
