We are all awaiting the day that all California theme parks reopen. It was just announced that indoor rides are allowed to operate but visitors must be kept outdoors online and require that all park goers and workers wear face coverings.

The Department of Public Health released guidelines for theme park attractions. Any park that opens Thursday will be limited to 15% of maximum capacity until COVID-19 cases in the country drop further.

Some of the theme park rules you should be aware of are:

  • Performers who can't wear masks in the park must remain six feet away from all people
  • Indoor rides are limited to no more than 15 minutes in duration
  • Guests from the same household must be boarded on ride vehicles together, different households must be 6 ft. apart on rides
  • Face coverings must be offered to riders who lose their covering during a ride

These new guidelines will allow for rides such as Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland to reopen along with Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal Studios.

Are you looking forward to theme parks reopening?
