Airbnb is currently removing 1-night home listings for 4th of July weekend to help stop spikes in COVID-19 cases.
Airbnb announced that they will block single-night reservations for entire homes through the weekend of July 4th as part of its ban on large parties during the pandemic. The company has already suspended/removed 80 listings in violation of its party ban which caps bookings at 16 people in Texas.
They stated "We've learned that July 4 is being pegged as the 'reopening' date in the US, which is great for the country as well as for the Airbnb community. We also know that public health and safety experts are still saying mass gatherings should not happen."
The CDC still advises that vaccinated people gather in only small groups. What are your thoughts on this? Did you have plans for the 4th of July?
