People arriving in the state of Hawaii from Taiwan will no longer be required to quarantine for 10 days! They will need to present a negative COVID-19 test issued by designated hospitals.
This is set to begin on April 17th as part of efforts by Hawaii to revive its economic activities and tourism which were hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. The lifting of the 10-day home quarantine requirement for visitors from Taiwan was implemented under a cooperative memorandum that was signed between the Hawaii state government and Taiwan.
The mandatory quarantine will be waived once arriving travelers from Taiwan present a negative COVID-19 test result issued by one of the 11 hospitals that are on Hawaii's list of trusted partners.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you planning on traveling to Hawaii soon?
