CDC says that schools should still implement face masks and social distancing through the end of the term.
They are recommending that school districts across the U.S. should continue with mask protocols at least through the end of the school year. This comes after the CDC announced that fully vaccinated Americans can return to nearly normal without masks given a few exceptions.
Officials also stated that school mask guidelines should stay in place mainly because kids under the age of 12 are not eligible yet to get the vaccine. They plan to update guidance for schools in the next few weeks to help districts prepare for the 2021-2022 school year.
