After the announcement that Aunt Jemima products would be rebranded as Pearl Milling Company, they finally hit stores across the U.S.
Quaker Oats announced that they would be changing the Aunt Jemima brand of the pancake mix and syrup because the character's origins were based on a racial stereotype from the 19th century. The next time you are in a store, you may see Pearl Milling Company on store shelves. The new packaging began on May 31st.
Shoppers should be aware that you may still see some Aunt Jemima brand pancake mix and syrup for a few months until the transition is complete.
