Maybe you've noticed that the price of coffee beans has started rising.
Due to poor harvest, supply chain issues and increased demand. Since there is a lack of rainfall in Brazil, which is the world's largest producer of coffee beans and transportation issues in countries that are also major producers, such as Colombia and Vietnam prices have spiked 18% in the last three months.
Farmers in Brazil have been preparing for worst harvest in 20 years and the harvest is expected to drop by the largest amount since 2003. At this time, coffee roasters have held off on passing coffee price hikes on consumers, so many haven't seen the hikes at the grocery stores just yet.
