According to a new study, it says that playing video games can actually offer a boost to mental health, especially for older adults.
Researchers at the University of Utah started using video games to help treat depression among people over the age of 60. The games are designed to be interesting and palatable to older adults. They also state that patients can begin to think and act differently after about two weeks.
In some of these cases, the games are proved to be more effective than antidepressants.
